West Virginia Missions Trip

The Fellowship Student group is going to Elkview, West Virginia from July 10-17, 2022 to be a part of a large work project group.  The area where we will be working has struggled after a devastating flood in 2016 that caused more damage than expected.  In addition, the dwindling coal industry has also left people struggling financially. During our week in Elkview we will be the hands and feet of Jesus to make a difference in this community who has lost almost everything and are looking for a new connection and helping hands.

We will provide home repairs at no cost for elderly, disabled, and disadvantaged people.  We expect to work with the same resident for our entire trip so meaningful relationships can develop.  Some of the potential projects will include interior and exterior painting, building or repairing porches and wheelchair ramps, building or repairing steps, weatherization and other home repairs.  The work we will be doing will have a great impact long after our week is over.
