WEEK OF PRAYER

GOD, YOU ARE GOOD.

week of prayer // day 1

Lord, this is a confusing and challenging time. While we may not see and know what you're plan is through this spread of worry and fear, yet we know that you're good and in control.

For you tell us, "My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine." (Isaiah 55:8 NLT)

We hold on to that truth. We focus on that.

[Take a moment and focus on that verse. Reflect on what it means for God's ways to be far beyond anything you could imagine.]

Our earthly words and language cannot even articulate you accurately, God. For you are far beyond them. God, your glory is blinding. Yet, we yearn to catch a shadow of you. We long to be in your presence.

We thank you for this day, Lord. We are grateful for the very breath we breathe for it comes from you.

"For the Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life." (Job 33:4 NLT)

[Take some time to focus on the breath that you receive from God. Focus on how the Almighty gives us life itself.]

God, thank you for thinking of us. Thank you for breathing life into us. Thank you for making a relationship with us possible.

For you are holy. Set apart. Unlike anything, we can describe.

And yet, you care about us.
You hear our prayers.
You know our hearts.

So, Lord, as Ezekiel had no words to describe what he saw when the heavens opened up, we come humbled before you. Exalting you in all your glory. Asking for you to speak to us as we pray and seek your face together this week.

As Zacchaeus climbed a tree to get a glimpse of you, Lord, we come before you to get a glimpse as well this week.

[Spend some time sharing with God how you'd like to see Him show up in your life and your week.]

We exalt you and love you, Lord.
Amen.

(Please comment with how God has spoke to you during this time)

Because of the corona virus, Ron and I are unable to return to Central Europe for at least a month. We see this as God’s intervention and leading in our lives and ministry, and are trusting the Lord to lead us back in His time, and blessing the work at home to which He is leading us. His ways are not our ways...praising Him in all things.

I’ll definitely be praying for you both and especially that the Lord blesses your work at home.

In our community group, we've talked about how God always has a will and that His way may be confusing or messy, but His way always leads to His will. We just have to trust that this little piece of the puzzle that we see right now will lead to a bigger purpose and picture and plan. Trusting in the midst of the mess right now. His will is always good. His will is always better than anything my little brain can understand.
