week of prayer // day 3
Father God, we thank you for making a way through your son Jesus for us to talk with you. We are grateful for the opportunity to speak with you any time and any day.
We are thankful that we can bring you our sadness. We rejoice that we can come with our joy. We know you desire to both walk alongside us in our struggle and celebrate with us together in our joy.
So, Lord, we come to you with many things on our hearts.
In Philippians, it says, "Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done" (Philippians 4:6 NLT).
You said we could pray about anything (Mark 11:24), so today we bring you our requests.
[What are some requests you would like to bring to God? Spend time sharing your heart with Him. Let Him know what it is that you desire.]
Suggestions for requests you can bring:
God, we come to you with our desires asking that you show us your will in each of them. We come believing that you seek the good of those who love you.
God, we come to you asking for health needs.
You are the great physician and the great healer.
You are the one who heals every kind of disease and illness (Matthew 4:23 NLT).
So, Lord, we pray for healing in the following areas:
[Spend some time sharing areas that you, a friend, or a family member need healing.]
God, we don't just ask for physical healing, but also emotional and spiritual.
We know that "By [your] wounds [we] have are healed" (1 Peter 2:24).
We seek this spiritual healing that you give us. God, we repent where we have not walked in your ways.
We come to you asking for you to grow us to a new and deeper spiritual maturity.
As you say, "My wayward children, come back to me, and I will heal your wayward hearts" (Jeremiah 3:22 NLT).
God heal us from where we've gone wayward.
We desire to come back to you. We want to "grow in the grace and knowledge of [you] our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18 NLT).
[In what ways have you gone wayward in your spiritual walk? How is the Lord asking you to come back to Him?]
God, we know that you have begun a good work in us. We know that you will be faithful to complete it.
So, we ask that you would guide us as we continue to "do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with [you our] God" (Micah 6:8 NLT).
We love you, and thank you, Lord Jesus.
"Search for the Lord and for His strength; continually seek Him." Psalm 105:4 NLT
