week of prayer // day 2

Father God, you are good. You are gracious. You are so generous to us.

As it was prayed over the Israelites, Lord, we pray for your blessing to flow over your church, Fellowship Chapel.

May the Lord bless you and protect you. (Number 6:24 NLT)

God, we pray for your protection over Fellowship.
  • Protect us from the attacks of the enemy.
  • Protect us from the attacks of disease.
  • Protect us from division within your household of people.

God, we pray for protection over our households.
  • Protect our households from falling into the desires of this world.
  • Protect the health of each person within our home and family.
  • Protect us from division within our family.

[Spend some time reflecting on what areas that you yearn for God's protection.]

May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. (Number 6:25 NLT)

God, we pray that we would walk in ways that bring you joy. We also pray for your grace and forgiveness to wash away where we've fallen short of your desires.

God, forgive us as a church, Fellowship Chapel, for where we have sinned.
  • Forgive us for where we have gossiped.
  • Forgive us for where we've created division.
  • Forgive us for where we've focused on our desires and not your own.

And God, we pray that we would as a church, Fellowship Chapel, walk in the ways that bring you joy.
  • May we be united as one body in your Spirit.
    • We desire to "make every effort to keep [our]selves united in the Spirit, binding [our]selves together with peace" (Ephesians 4:3 NLT).
  • May we walk humbly, understanding the needs of one another.
    • We desire to "do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than [our]selves" (Philippians 2:3 NLT).
  • May we be a church that rejoices together and loves one another well.
    • We desire to "be joyful, [to] grow to maturity, [to] encourage each other, [to] live in harmony and peace." For we know that in doing these things, "the God of love and peace will be with [us]" (2 Corinthians 13:11 NLT).

[Spend some time reflecting on where you've sinned. Ask God for ways in which we can work toward restoration with one another.]

May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace. (Numbers 6:26 NLT)

God, we know that you offer a peace that is not of this world. You give a peace that is beyond ourselves and one that only comes from you.

We desire peace.

We desire peace in our church. Would we be known as people who carry your peace.

We desire peace in our homes. May we be witnesses of your peace to the neighbors around us.

We desire peace in our workplaces, schools, and the places we visit. May we bring your love, grace, and mercy with us wherever we go.

God, we look to you as the perfecter of our faith, asking for you to build us up so we may be powerful witnesses of your goodness and love.

[Close by spending some time asking God how you can bring peace into your communities. Listen for His whisper. Share your struggles. Release your fears.]

Thank you for your peace Lord God.
Amen.

I love the fact that although we are isolated we can still come together and pray. Today helped me focus on specific requests when my mind is so scattered. Being home, in the quiet focusing, I can hear Gods whisper! He’s whispering peace to me!

Very very good prayers, for our church. We've need to pray for this we've been struggling with these issues as a church for many years now.
Lord Jesus may you please have all of us pray for this for we know you will answer us, in a greater way than we can imagine.

Thank you Lord Jesus

Prayer is powerful and is the least we can do but also the most and best we can do for our church, our friends, our families and ourselves. May our many prayers rise up to Heaven and be a sweet aroma to our God and Savior...O Lord grant us thy peace which transcends all understanding and keep our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Lord, I am so grateful and humbled by the privilege of prayer. It’s hard to grasp that we can/are approach the God of Heaven. Thank you, God, for the local Body of Christ. May you continue to pour out your Spirit upon us and may we be the light in the darkness that You have called us to be. Thank you, Lord, for peace even in the midst of this storm!
